The Wind Within

Which way does the wind blow,
what emotions does it carry within?
From whence does the tide flow
what sacred place is its origin?

North it blows, North it flows,
howling away the pain,
the cold.

South it goes, South it holds,
warming gently my heart,
my soul.

East it starts, East it ends,
rushing from where
the Light begins.

West it flys, West it bends,
ushering in
the dark again.

From whence it blows, and where it flows
matter little at journey's end--
For all directions in which it goes
together compose the Wind Within.
